The dog food scanner that reads the label like a nutritionist

Scan any dog or cat food barcode and get an honest score against FEDIAF, the European pet nutrition guidelines, not marketing on the front of the pack.

What the score is built from

Treats are judged as treats. A biscuit isn’t a diet, so most treats are capped below complete foods. A treat that is one named meat and nothing else scores uncapped, because there’s nothing to hide.

Cat food too

Cats aren’t small dogs. Their FEDIAF minimums are their own table, half again more protein per 100 g of dry matter, and Labelly grades cat food against it. The same tin can honestly score differently for a cat and a dog, and the page tells you which scale you’re looking at.

Free to scan

Pet food barcode scanning and scores are free. Free accounts also get 5 AI photo scans a day for packs that aren’t in the database yet, and every AI scan you contribute makes the catalogue better for everyone.

Labelly grades the food, never the animal: it doesn’t give feeding or veterinary advice. See also: the AI supplement scanner.
